To the sunny island - Bintan

This is soooo delayed but finally I have the time to update!!
So last week its finally the long awaited getaway trip with the chingay friends (#thechins) to Bintan

It was the first time after knowing them for so long we actually went overseas together.
Although it wasn't the full group, i'm contented enough.

And so our trip started off with a nice and comfortable ferry with aircon and its totally not bumpy at all
Its just 45 minutes away from the tanah merah ferry terminal.
Let's just not expect that Bintan is actually like Singapore, we took close to an hour ride from the ferry terminal to the resort...
On the way, we saw lots of....the lifestyle in Bintan.
and that was how they refill the fuel for the bus.

after looking at their lifestyle, I really really really got it that I'm seriously living in a paradise.
The resorts are very well developed with internet networks, but the living conditions of the people are there are rather terrible. But I guess they're just happy with their lives being like this...?

After that 1 hour bus ride, finally we reached our resort, CABANA Beach Resort.
I would strongly recommend this resort cause it's just...the best.
Or maybe there are better around but I guess due to its location at the more far end away from the more lively places, the water and view there is just...perfect.

low tide times
If you can see the two different shades of blue in the above photos, the darker shade of blue isn't some hills or what, they're purely water- clear water but due to the plants beneath it appears to be darker as compared to the clear water in front.

I would say the water is the cleanest sea water I've ever seen in my life.

For the first day, it was kinda slacky around the area after our lunch.
We took a ~10 minutes ride from our resort to one of the another resort which is under the same management......
and we waited for like hours for the ride to the city area of Bintan under the City Tour package for SGD$12!
Meanwhile we just killed time by playing around, hanging around their not-as-clean beach and then just lehpak-ed in one of their restaurants.

And tada we went to their city for lunch. The driver was a safe driver but...it's kinda poor thing that he just kept quiet for that 1 hour ride hahaha while us just literally knock out in that over-comfy car.

This is the Food street....?

The moment we step foot into the area, I swear every single one was looking at us..
I thought lots of Singaporean tourists would have visited that place frequently that they should get used to it, but still the way they stared was way beyond how I could accept it and eat in ease..
After coming back to SG and told my father that we went to this place, he then told us that that place is like...a red light district..? WOW.

And after the dinner, the driver brought us to this small little shopping mall. It's a smaller version of the BHG we have in Bugis Street?

On our way out to the city we probably realized that they do not have any street lights on the road.
And the most common mode of transport they have there are just motor bikes and their headlights are really nothing. At most you can only see that there's a vehicle there but I doubt you can even see the road properly.
Despite that, the people there get to enjoy something that I really envy them of.
They get to enjoy that piece of starry night sky. I'm not even kidding but the beauty of that nature is just beyond description. I wasn't a fan of stars but after that beautiful night skies, I am now one.

Because there's no lights and its REALLY dark in there, you see the stars like as much as your eyes can see.. I don't even know how to describe. I just felt like crying.

Back to our resort,

The rooms are not that perfect, but since we got it for cheap, we're happy with it!
The tv has a lot of tv channels including singapore ones like channel 8 and 5..but the signal was weak.
oh well!

The next morning,
as usual.... and let me introduce my roomie for that 2 nights.
VANNYYYY
and so the happening day 2 started off with a mangrove tour that actually cost us SGD$35.

a factory on the waters

the boat captain made is so fun for us by speeding the boat and it was damnnnnnnnn fun and bumpy.
Felt like I was going to be thrown off the boat. That wind blows~

and after that we went to kayakkkk back at our own beach!
Did it with the Qianhui that was very very nice and the nonsense William...
he just wanted everyone to go down the water and flooded our kayak with water.
Joke much!

The water is so clear that we could clearly see.....the starfishes.

taken from vanny!

 Ignited fireworks at night too..

and for the last day, we woke up early in the morning for the breakfast and the pigs went back to sleep.
Vanny and I went back to our room..watched the tv and especially enjoyed the Super Nanny and we went around to camwar..

Bringing the camera to somebody's else room while they were sleeping....

So when me and je were singing...and that's what happened to William HAHAHAHAHAH I CANT EVEN

maximising the use of my tripod stand...

It was a good three days together with these people.
I will really look forward to the next trip if there's any.........

 thats it!
