the kite flew.

HEY THERE!

Finally something nice to blog about!
Met up with the clique to celebrate Eunice's 19th in advance.
and finally made my virgin trip to Marina Barrage!
it's not that convenient but thankfully there wasn't many people there in the morning!

Of course, people thought that I was crazy when I told them I was going to fly a kite.
cause the weather was extremely extremely gloomy.
For example, a stranger guy who approached me for a survey for prudential.
and he literally laughed off in my face after telling him my plans alright.
But we really managed to fly the kite isn't it..
and we got sunburns in the end AHAHAHAHAH
so yes! Gotta keep faith in whatever we do :)

so back to the topic!
it's like a tradition that the day activity will only be carried by half of the clique.
then it's me chermaine and Eunice the princess herself!

besides for the plan to fly the kite, we had a mini picnic there!
and totally forgot about my marks and spencer sweet...

Dunkin' Donuts!

It wasn't long until we started to ATTEMPT to fly the kite!

Gotta admit that these two girls are kinda good in kite flying.
HAHAH like it's my first time so I don't know anything at all so yeah..
at least I took photos :) though it was gloomy in the morning, but the sun was super sunny after that..

*not trying to help converse advertise...*

emelynn inspired + best photobomber

with the birthday princess!

and finally! Shauna the dumbo came to join us for a while before we leave for dinner after her work!
Coincidentally, we wore similar tops for that day. -chemistry-
We both had swan prints.. HAHAHA
and yes! Her standard fatimah look does suit her a lot right <: nbsp="" p="">HAHAHA gotta say that she made me laugh quite a lot yesterday. Too dumb!
Be it her photos and everything HAHAHAH
shall not be a meanie and post her unglams here. But feel free to browse through facebook :p

standard thing to take photos in the toilet but...
we dropped dumby's cupcake straight on the floor (with the box of course) ..
hahahaha the face/reactions were kinda epic though XD

After that, we met up with Emelynn and Cole at Holland Village for dinner!
we went to D' Good Cafe...

Chocolate Cream Frappe

Portobello in Cream sauce
their chocolate cream frappe is superb though it's kinda pricey for a normal size cup of drink like this.
it's like $6.50.
the pasta is just kinda acceptable only. I would rate it a 3/5 cause the mushrooms taste good..
but the rest were kinda dry......

after all the proper meal, we surprised Eunice with her kinda-ruined cupcakes..

it was really fun though I was really tired from the hot sun in the day..
because we had something to laugh about......

then then then to the dessert but apparently we had to wait for quite a while before there are seats..
but meanwhile we walked around the Holland V part.
I believe it's not the whole thing but just like 1 of the many streets in there though.

The streets reminded me so much of the Sinchon Uni Street and myeongdong in korea..
and of course like bangkok too.
It's like a totally new side of Singapore to me.
With many many many people like caucasians dining/drinking over there cause it's a friday night..

felt really like some tourists there with my camera around my neck and taking photos like this.
HAHAHAH don't judge.

Went to have some REALLY expensive ice cream..

Trust me, it costs like $13++ for these freaking 3 scoops of ice cream okay.
The mango the chocolate chip the milk better be imported tsk. HAHAHAHA!
I think I prefer Bens and Jerry oops.

And that somehow summarized our plans to celebrate Eunice's 19th in super advance!

this post is so long that I don't even want to go back up and see if everything flows or not. HAHAHA!
You guys that made it all the way to this part... you guys are awesome!!

Hanging out with this group of peeps never fails to make me laugh or maybe it's us being able to make other laugh...it feels really great isn't it?
Although it's really really really freaking difficult to get a reunion during this long holidays,
at least now I know it's not something impossible.
All the sacrifices are worth it.

I'm glad that i'm able to get out of my little well in amk, because they're always bringing me to new places that I've never been to before.
Hearing brands that I thought didn't exist before etc etc..
they're just like my newsfeed.
new iphones are launched and I'll hear it from Cole.
So basically it's really great although I might seem to be really goondu or something.

But I really had a happy day yesterday with them.
Showing me that it's not impossible to fly the kite despite the gloomy weather.
You need to keep the faith that the sun will appear.
Then when the sun appears, there's no wind.
But fear not, the wind returns kinda quickly.
the kite flew up high.
