living above the water

Fast enough, I'm back from Kukup!
It's some where in Johor so it wasn't a very long trip to get there.
However....the bus that we took was a super old bus.
Thattt I realized I forgot to take a photo of it.
HAHAHAHAHAHA.

But its really damn jialat cause it was a hour and a half hour trip but apparently the aircon in the bus..
its like a very weak gust of wind coming out from the top.
I literally perspired while I slept. Hate it cause it's really uncomfortable ya...?
was realllly happy when we reached the customs cause finally there's aircon. HAHAHA!

back to that day, which is just yesterday HAHA
Everyone gathered at Grandmother's house like the HQ department.
that's where the malaysian coach came in and fetched us!

On the way to Kukup we stopped somewhere for some good dimsum!
I'm definitely not the dimsum kind. So I don't really have any appetite for that :/

standards... century egg porridge?

 I didn't have the porridge cause I don't eat the century egg
and I'm 100% sure that there's minced pork inside. SO NO.

mango pudding for dessert

I know it's weird to have dessert for a breakfast but seriously.
The mango pudding is probably the best thing for that meal.
AHAHA it's damn nice.
That I only managed to take a photo of it after my cousin started eating it.

After a short while on the way, the adults stopped (ONCE AGAIN) for some durians.
Yes, apparently we took a shorter time to come back than to go...
maybe cause of all the short breaks here and there whereas when we were coming back we didn't stop at all!

it was some roadside stall with lots of flies here and there

This looked like rambutan but they're not..I have no idea what are they either HAHAHAHA OOPS

Was sleeping when they were on their way here so when I woke up after the bus stopped out of nowhere.. I saw the tombstones and I went "WHAT WHY ARE WE HERE OMGGG" 

yeah the tombs are not even far far away. It's right in front ya! 

right across the stall its a graveyard ya...

 and saw these flowers that looked superb.
From the bottom view it's star shape! But sadly my camera can't go that far...
I'm not tall enough and it's all the way up on the top of the fence..

Kukup is a place near the mangrove swamps, so the residents rely on the seafood for a living.
that's why the signature dishes there are all seafood and I guess they're really well known for it?
but personally..
in my opinion their seafood was REALLY good.
I don't even like those in Singapore but I almost ate everything that I do..
like the sotongs even though it was realllly spicy but it's really damn daebak!
Plus chilli crab that isn't that hot afterall.
for someone that doesn't really care about eating to say that..
WOAH.
Only regret is that I forgot to take photos..
SIGH.
guys you have to imagine. AHAHHA!

their modes of transport around the living area...from what I could see...
were via speed boats like literally those sanpan but with an motor engine..
boat for visitors like us... and motorbikes!

the owner of the resort that we stayed in helped to carry the durians in hehehe

she's younger but I just like to be a retard around her. HEHE

then we went up a boat to get to the resort.
And I swear they don't have any safety policies cause basically there's like damn alot people on it.
you can even feel the boat slanted in the waters....
but the person kept assuring us that it's alright. OH WELL
it was really alright!
the weather was really good. Like cloudyyyy~ and gloomy with no sun!

I guess this where they catch the fishes..

The resort we stayed in! Ocean resort. 

The resort that we stayed in is like the newly built one so it looks super beautiful. 
Not only that, even the interior is like better than my home.

and the best thing is that every single window you can open it to feel the air outside!
Be it high or low...

 and the scene above seemed so peaceful but in real life, it was actually damn noisy and messy.
Cause everyone was chionging around to snatch for the best room.
AHAHAHAHAHA joke!
there were bunk beds and double beds in a room so yes!
Initially wanted my whole family to be able to sleep in a room together..
but sadly we didn't managed to.
It's alright :D

The place was really good cause it was fully air-conditioned.
To be honest it was wayy too cold with all the aircon.
I need a jacket everywhere!

and this room has the whole view of the outside and it was simply gorgeous.
SO ofc it becomes my venue to camwhore! :D

in the evening when the tide went down, I saw my best friends!
Mudskippers.
In sungei buloh I'll only get to see them for a bit then pooof they're missing or I'm leaving.
but this time I get to see LOADS of them and study them for a bit.
Basically because other than the house I don't have anywhere else to go. HAHA
other than that, we saw a huge pelican and eagle in the morning!

 and of course. When it's not sunny+ cloudy+ breeze = TIME TO CAMWHORE AGAIN
but it's outdoor photos! With the best lighting.

being a really nice person of course invited her to all kinds of activities AHAHA :P

we had all the time to take all kinds of shots.
And of course jump shots and stupid shots.. with my sister!
yeah, rare enough, the peaceful and fun-loving times with her... hehe! :))

It was really fast till the sun just disappeared. Like within 1 minute?!!

Ultimately I think people will go to Kukup to do 3 things.
1) Seafood    2) The kongming lantern/ sky lantern   3) FIREWORKS!!!! 

 and of course we did that too!
It was really damn damn damn damn fun omggg

after writing your wishes on the lantern, we'll stuff that thing with the wire inside...

It's not easy putting one up into the sky ensuring that it doesn't fall down. It's not nice to see that...
You'll need to hold that thing for kinda long for the air to fill the lantern before it floats away..

But the moment the lantern goes up..
Idk but I was feeling kinda...weird.
Like I really hope that my wishes will come true and someone up there will read my wishes..

The night sky is really freaking gorgeous with all the lanterns..
it's like starry.. sadly my camera doesn't really work well in the darkness :/
but the view in real life is really..just daebak and so heartwarming.
All the families wishing the best for their own family members. That family love.

then finally the finale! All the kids have been waiting for this.

The fireworks time!

 not sure if it works..but it's just a video of the fireworks!
and pardon me for my super loud "excuse mee" cause those people were literally blocking me!!

The fireworks...its not just the normal ones.
There's many other different kinds..
Uncle bought too much of it that it eventually got kinda boring and tiring!
It was dark and didn't manage to take any photos..cause I used my camera to take videos instead.
ahahaha!
so yeap...

It's scary cause I've seen articles about fireworks exploding..
and true enough, some of it are already faulty and it did exploded.
Lucky my uncle ran away fast enough while the rest stayed far away from the place.
and it wasn't a huge explosion!

but it was dangerous enough cause those 'residents' upstairs were playing some sparkles
that is really strong and it just explodes on the floor.
and the fire sparks just literally fell down and we're right downstairs.
So our lives were constantly being threatened when we were out there. :/

after the tiring day..
oh yes! While showering I get to enjoy free fireworks show too HAHAHAHA
it's like free of charge there luh.
But actually it costs like around hundred plus sing dollars..

early in the morning today..after having breakfast, went over to the kids' room to disturb a bit.
and yes, I brought my rat alongggggggg!

and robbed my cousin's class hoodie HAHAHAHA 

my family. 

 we went to visit the mangrove swamp too.
It's like literally a bigger and not so safe sungei buloh....

there's this suspension bridge too 

but I liked their idea of putting such nice phrases in the middle of the mangrove
it's like kinda interesting cause I'm curious of what is going to come up next~

and now that the three of us have something similar finally. HAHA the eyes. XD 

and that was about the end of this trip!

 if you ever go there, the only thing you have have have to get is their magnum ice cream!
it's filthy cheap!!!! And then like for the first time I tried the magnum ice cream!
It tastes like normal chocolate ice cream to me...though it was chocolate brownie flavour.
I don't like nuts..but there's only this and the almond flavour available. So heck it!
It costs like around RM 3.90. Do your calculation!!

and that was the end..............

Really enjoyed this trip cause finally it's like a getaway for me.
Although I still have some things to settle when I was there but at least..
I was away from the reality in Singapore!
Enjoy lying on that swing swing thing (idk what's that called..), and enjoying life.
Not as though I don't think about the things that i'm worrying there,
but just with those scenary and sea views with the wildlife I see there..
I have this " Isn't this life " kind of feeling and everything just felt soo so much better.
What could have been better was that Jiaen was around with me :(

but oh well!
I still love such trips, cause I have to admit it was a good time to catch up with the relatives.
Normally we'll just sit around grandma's house and watch the tv.
But with such trips it's not the same anymore..
hmmm..
yeah!

I'm just like this...
I don't even understand what am I worrying or thinking about!
HAHAHAHAHA
just loving it.

Still loooking forward to another msia trip next week if my daddy doesn't break his promise!
