After 3 tiring days i'm back alive from the night race....the F1!
F1 is a very happening event in Singapore isn't it..

I think Ritz Carlton worked together with our course and so
everyone in my course have this chance to work for F1 in the suites in the pit building
as banquet staff.
In other words, the waiter and waitress alright. Service staff!
the girls were all assigned to same suite so it was kinda good thing!
At least my friends were with me in this messy suite.
It was like 3 full long days in this suite and it was damn happening hhahaha
please allow me and pardon me but I need to rant about it.
we were assigned to the Raffles Club Suite!
the food in the suite is like really damn good and they're like cooked by the really ..
pro-looking chefs HAHAH and I swear just the dessert itself look damn good.
I can be super satisfiedd if I'm allowed to take the remaining food instead of throwing them away.
I've been eyeing on the macaroons when I was assigned to scoop ice cream for the guests!
and yes, it's Bens and Jerry ice cream!
Four big tubs of it.
Chocolate fudge, Cherry Garcia, Toffee-do, Lemonade Sorbet HAHAHA
I find it really funny when the guests ask me what's nice.
its like "DO I LOOK LIKE I'M ALLOWED TO EAT?"
hahahaha but I can't say it so i'm like 'depends on what do you like.' HAHAHAHA
i'll be more than willing to taste and tell you which is nice.
Sadly after a while the ice cream becomes like some rock and it's damn hard to scoop and not to mention roll them into nice little balls!
so in the end, I've gained real muscles on my right arm. HAHAHA
I can skip going to the gym hahah if just ice cream works equally well.
For the first two days were fine..just not used to the long hours I'm required to stand.
Especially wearing a new leather shoes that taught me to be appreciative of slippers and any other comfortable shoes ya.
Although those guests seem to be like really rich and everything, but..
some of them were really friendly. Esp Caucasians!
They were like " it's really hard right? HAHA it was hard on you..so poor thing..." when I'm having a hard time scooping the ice cream! And we'll just laugh it off HAHAHAAH.
Kinda interesting cause it's like adults actually asks for lots of ice cream hahaha!
although my right hand is like partially disabled right now, but no regrets!
But behind these glamours, it's really ugly.
the management..from the very start it was very very very screwed.
I might not have the rights to say anything because I know it's not easy managing big groups of people.
but speaking from the view of the part-timer recruited
I have to say, from the experience I had this time, I swear i can no longer see Ritz in the positive view anymore.
Not the hotel side but the management.
I used to think that everything about Ritz is like woah PERFECT.
because Jiaen told me how great were they and they're really damn zai and class and everything.
So for that moment, I was happy that I can work for them.
But now that the event was over. I know I'm terribly wrong.
Cause I left the place with my blood boiling and 101% of frustration and annoyance.
Firstly instructions were not given out properly and yet we were expected to reach somewhere within the time given.
For the first day if we were supposed to sign in, collect our uniforms, leave our bags at the hr part and everything, they should at least come out with a flow chart.
A freaking flow chart at least we know what are we supposed to do within what time.
Not when we are late, no time for a lousy lunch at the staff canteen, not knowing what did we do wrongly and got scolded, and then later we get the blames and stares from the others.
additionally, no one told us where on earth is the changing room, HR department and whatever.
IT'S OUR DAMN FREAKING FIRST TIME STEPPING INTO THE HOTEL
they didn't think of that?
it's okay if they didn't put any signage telling us where is where but at least,
they should know we would be lost and give us some grace period for reporting right.
other than this, i'm very very disappointed with the some of the supervisors.
we are supposed to listen to their instructions, and yes.. we know that..
so some of them have some serious serious to the maximum ATTITUDE PROBLEMS.
maybe they're tired, their leg hurts equally. okay I shall accept that but we do have feelings too.
Volunteering ourselves to work for extra hours till 4 am, but in the end we felt like we were being in their way, we are the troublemakers who deserved to be screamed at, and accepting attitudes from them.
If you want respect you should earn them.
Being staff from the hotel straight, having more experience than us and what's not ...
doesn't really matter to us after the event ends.
We do have feelings and I feel that we don't fucking deserve such treatments.
not that we do not do our work.
there's this one supervisor seriously seriously damn ridiculous.
talking to us in that "stfu you do what I say" tone.
Yeah, you're tired we all can see that.
Not as if we're not tired? We're all doing the same job okay.
We're supposed to wipe the tables with a cloth.
We couldn't find the cloth so she used napkins.
The black one.
So we wet the napkin but guess what?
The napkin's colour started to come off.
the water is like totally black.
But she said its okay just use it.
Attempting to clean tables with a cloth that will make it dirtier doesn't make sense what.
but still we did it like anything you say.
This is the impression I have of those hateful staffs from the hotel.
but on the other hand there are like superb superb awesome people too!!!!
Like Uncle Ben who is like super damn good.
Totally love him!
He's damn fatherly. He helped me to gope gummy bears when I was standing at my ice cream place!
now that I think about his good I really feel so touched.
and he's like literally the saigang warrior. Running everywhere doing everything!
he's damn good omg love him.
Nexxt of course my super bubbly and cute supervisor Suzana!
the only one except for the manager Bernard, who really deserves my respect for her.
Being a good friend of us, she totally don't boss us around.
Even people who worked in the suite next door knows she's damn freaking laojiao.
Being apologetic for being late in the morning yesterday which she totally were pissed,
but the next moment she saw me she apologized me.
It was our fault for being late she had all it took to scold us but she did apologize for her attitude.
Whereas some others don't even realize they're talking in THAT attitude.
that's the difference.
And of course with such good natures we are all like damn close with her

and making new friends with people I didn't know even though we're in the same course HAHA.

oh oh yes and this joker.

Hope that we all can still keep in contact...which I think someday I'll still him around this area HAAHAHA.

Oh yes but he look damn different outside with his weird specs so maybe not. HAHAHAHA

but sadly because last night was too happening that we don't have time to take a proper photo together....
so overall other than the management part, I still enjoyed making damn loads of new friends.
They're all nice people. HAHAHAHAHA

but before dismissal, the people from Raffles club suite we had some ice cream feast!
but really it's damn nice omg hahha i think i'm in love with the lemonade sorbet and toffee!
then after that went around the different suites packing stuff up with uncle ben!
but in the end it becomes us stealing more ice creams all around and eating food with drinks haha!
Like a shiok but yes uncle ben is too good hahaha!

This marks the end of my F1 post. HAHAHAHAHA
Kinda traumatized by this F1 experience but somehow I enjoyed it too.
gonna think properly before next year's.
