CHINGAY 2013

so after so many days away from home...
I'm finally returning to my own bed.

Firstly it was this one whole week of exams for me..
like literally from monday to friday straight, everyday.
So of course...didn't have much sleep.
but luckily the exams dates didn't clash with chingay!

the actual parade day starts when exams ended..
which is like infinity shiok-ness eh ~

So PA actually booked hotel rooms for excos..
and of course!
I SWEAR IT WAS DAMN FREEAAAAKING FUN WITH ALL THESE PEEPS.
Like seriously non stop nonsense times.
AHHHHHAAAAHAHAHA

we stayed in Conrad Hotel..and although we knew where was it,
the girls didn't know how to walk there from F1 pitt building!
so...we were walking behind the boys.
and girls being girls, we were talking while walking in a while.. we got lost.
so it was kinda scary cause there were like pubs/clubs(i can never differentiate them) around..
and we decided t stop somewhere and wait for the another group of boys.

ANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
it was a damn atas room.
the toilet (Y).
3 different directions filled with mirror.
but because of these, the annoying boys made the toilet seem so damn scary.
They managed to shower first, and the girls havent!

And so, they decided to share those supernatural things during our supper.
cos the toilet is totally enclosed, with loads of mirrors, it's freaking scary when you're stucked.
with the lights off.
Like literally dark till you can't even see your own fingers even if they're in front of you.
and cos of this, there were many damn freaking epic jokes.
Like I can't even stop laughing when i think about it.
OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
especially william's one is seriously the best one omgggg HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

oh and yes,
supper being the last few customers at xinwang at 3am plus.
memorable.

HAHA.
and all our wake up faces are damn epic AHAHAHAHH!
not missing out the fun in the morning...
after asking for 8 pillows and extra blanket at around 3-4am...oh and bananas.
AND ohyes.
needa thank this William for bringing an extra jacket for me cause my bag was too full for mine!!

5AM plus in the morning when we are preparing to sleep cos the girls hair are wet and everything..
our two dearest friends had already 'chopped' the beds and...slept.
HAHAHA!
and yes. they are BOYS. :<
boys who would say "BOJIOOOOOOOOOOOO" when you take photos without them.
HAHAHAHA seriously.. ahh.

and on the parade day itself..

riding around the area and eventually got stopped by the security hahahaha XD

and after a short ride, Jiaen and i was half dead due to the deadly slopes...HAHA! 

And the times hijacking/ hopping on to the buggy just to not walk.. HAHAHA!

SO..
now finally everything had came to an end.
lots and lots of time and effort had paid off to the most successful operations in 3 years.
made lots of new friends that I will never ever meet,
those younger ones, those olders ones.

People always don't seem to understand why did we choose to put in so much of our time into this,
saying that we are kaypo, or just simply crazy to volunteer and get scolded in the end.
What actually kept us going was the need for self-achievement, and most importantly,
the time spent to do something cool with the cool people.

Like how many of us in Singapore has the chance to actually be part of Chingay as an exco.
It's just like 16 of us.
Totally showcasing the very true self of yours to all these people and knowing you won't get judge.
It's totally freaking awesome to just be yourself.

but sadly, good things always come to and end.
It seems to be the last time I'll actually be volunteering for Chingay.
all these friends need to go for NS...
and basically I guess the rest would need to focus on their academics already?

Feel kinda bad to the bosses cos it would be like everyone draws out at the same time,
then..they would have to train the new people from scratch again.
whoops.

and if you've realised, jiaen's and ziqian's hair are wet.
that's because it was jiaen's birthday!
then of course, water parade HOOHOOO!
damn funny!!
she was totally wet.
I guess she was poured with moore than 20 bottles of mineral water HAHAHAHA

although chingay has ended, we will still meet up for more events in the future.
